We use, among other things, services from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in these third countries. We would like to point out that no level of data protection comparable to the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. SSL/TLS Encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. When SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Objection to Promotional Emails

The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation for the sending of unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

4. Data Collection on This Website

Server Log Files

The website host automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. These are:

This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free and secure provision of the website, for which the server log files must be recorded.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use comparable technologies that store or read information on your device. Consent under § 25(1) TDDDG is therefore not required.

Enquiry by Email, Phone, or Fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; the consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send to us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular statutory retention periods — remain unaffected.

This website contains links to other websites, in particular to paulibytes.de. Your browser only connects to the respective provider once you click such a link. The respective provider is responsible for any data processing there.

5. Plugins and Tools

Fonts (Local Hosting)

This website uses the fonts Inter and DM Serif Display. The font files are stored on the same server as the website. No connection to servers of Google or other providers is established.

6. Analytics Tools

Umami

For statistical analysis of usage we use the cookieless web analytics service Umami (Umami Software, Inc., USA, operated via cloud.umami.is). Only aggregated metrics are recorded, such as pages viewed, referrer URL, approximate region (country) and browser and device class. We also count individual actions without personal reference: clicks on links to paulibytes.de and on our email address, switching the language, how far the homepage is read and requests for pages that do not exist. When someone requests an old address that we redirect to the homepage, our server reports this request to Umami, including the old address, the referrer URL and your IP address. IP addresses are not stored; they only enter an anonymous session identifier in hashed form. There is no cross-site recognition and no profiling.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-minimising audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Processing involves a transfer to a third country (USA), which is safeguarded by the provider’s EU standard contractual clauses. As no cookies or comparable technologies for accessing information on your device are used, consent under § 25(1) TDDDG is not required.

Provider’s privacy notice: https://umami.is/privacy

You can object to the recording at any time by enabling the Do Not Track setting in your browser, which this website respects. Common ad blockers also prevent recording.

7. Customer and Contract Data

Processing of Customer and Contract Data

We collect, process, and use personal customer and contract data for the establishment, content arrangement, and modification of our contractual relationships. We collect, process, and use personal data on the use of this website (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill the user. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The collected customer data is deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiry of any existing statutory retention periods. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
